Youth interactive friendship camp kicks off in Shanghai


About 130 teenagers from 20 countries and regions gathered in Shanghai on Wednesday to participate in the 14th Shanghai International Youth Interactive Friendship Camp.
Organized by the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Shanghai Youth Federation, the 10-day program will comprise activities like outdoor adventures, sightseeing excursions and forums to promote friendship and cultural understanding.
More than 1,400 young people from 60 countries and regions have attended the camp since its inception in 2005.

The event this year is centered on the theme "Peace, Friendship and Future". Countries and regions involved include Australia, Bolivia, China, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Japan, Portugal, South Korea and the United States.
