Burying himself in a pile of papers, 50-year-old Liang Shi from China's Sichuan province might be the country's most tenacious student for he has tried to crack the Gaokao, or National college entrance exam, 20 times, and this year he is ready to tackle it again.
Never giving up on his dream, Liang has decided to continue his attempt - to get into Sichuan University, for mathematics study. Last year, he only managed 417 points, which is far from the minimum passing marks for admission to the university.
Liang first sat for Gaokao when he was 16, and now 30 years later his son is already a college student.
When asked why he keeps trying for Gaokao, Liang, who runs a construction supplies business, said he just want to fulfill his dream of going to university.
